Not shown here. China is missing from the list, although for many goods it is the main supplier: its shipments are not visible by product, only China's overall totals. Belarus, Iran, the UAE, Vietnam and a number of other countries do not submit foreign trade reports to the international database, so their trade with Russia is not shown here.

Methodology · Source: partner countries' reports

The dataset holds 225 partner countries and 96 chapters of goods. Not every partner has reported for the chosen period.

  • Months. Only the months most countries have reported are used; the latest months are still being filled in and stay out of totals.
  • Six digits. World trade is recorded down to the sixth digit of the code; different ten-digit codes fall into one line.
  • The ≈ sign marks an estimate. Price per tonne is averaged across the selection and counted only where the weight is known. The world market is compiled by a different method, and Russia's share is taken from it.
  • Grey marks a change from a small base: one shipment moves a percentage like that.
  • Trade is recorded as partner countries reported it, imports including freight. The figures suit trends and comparing countries, but not reporting.
  • The method changes after 2024: 2024 and earlier are reconciled figures, later periods are countries' reports as filed. Totals on the two sides of that line are not compared.
  • Totals cover Russia's world trade, excluding the countries the site does not show; shares are computed from that sum.
