Checking goods before import and export
Seven checks against official registers
What we check
Bans and restrictions under special measures
Lists from the decrees and regulations of recent years: what may not be imported or exported, and to where exactly. Search by HS code or by product name: a match shows the measure itself and the document that introduced it.
What to enter: An HS code of two digits or more, or a product name
What you get: Whether there is a ban or restriction on import or export, for which countries, under which act and until when
Common questions
What do the marks “Prohibited”, “Permit required” and “Restricted” mean?
“Prohibited” is a direct ban on import or export. “Permit required” means export only with a permit from the competent authority. “Restricted” is a measure with conditions under a particular regulation. The wording is the heading of a section of the official list.
The goods in the results carry asterisks (*, **, ***) — what do they mean?
Footnotes set exceptions from the measure, for instance “except goods for infant nutrition”. Their text is in the act itself; its number and date are given with each measure.
Does this cover every restriction on my goods?
No. These are the lists for particular measures: the food embargo, export bans and the export licensing regime, targeted measures. Technical regulations, trademarks and certificates are in the neighbouring tabs, and the agencies issuing permits in “Permits”.
How fresh is the data?
The lists were checked against the acts on 17 October 2026, including Resolutions No. 954 (as amended on 29 September 2026) and No. 1098 of 28 August 2026. Open the act itself before deciding.
