2507 — Kaolin and other kaolinic clays, whether or not calcined

Kaolin and other kaolinic clays, whether or not calcined

Names come in English where the EU Combined Nomenclature publishes them — chapters, headings and subheadings, whose first six digits are the same Harmonized System; deeper EAEU detail is a machine translation, marked as such. Official texts — tariff notes, measures, lists and classification rulings — are the original: customs and your broker go by that wording. Where we show a machine translation of them, it is marked; where our quality check rejected one, the Russian stays.

2507 Kaolin and other kaolin clays, whether or not calcified

This heading includes kaolin and other kaolin clays, the principal constituents of which are kaolin minerals such as kaolinite, dikkit and nakrit, anoxite, and halloisite. These clays are classified in this heading even if they are ash. Kaolin, also known as "Chinese clay", is a white or almost white clay used in the manufacture of porcelain or in the paper pulp industry. Kaolin-bearing sands are not included in this heading (heading 2505).
