Siliceous fossil meals, e.g. kieselguhr, tripolite and diatomite, and similar siliceous earths, whether or not calcined, of an apparent specific gravity of <= 1
Names come in English where the EU Combined Nomenclature publishes them — chapters, headings and subheadings, whose first six digits are the same Harmonized System; deeper EAEU detail is a machine translation, marked as such. Official texts — tariff notes, measures, lists and classification rulings — are the original: customs and your broker go by that wording. Where we show a machine translation of them, it is marked; where our quality check rejected one, the Russian stays.

2512 Infusor silica lands (e.g., kieselgur, trembling, and diate omite) and similar silica lands, whether or not calcified, with a specific gravity of 1 or less
This raw material is silica land formed mainly from small, fossilized organisms (diatoms, etc.) and is very light. The “apparent specific gravity” of silica lands should not be more than 1; it should be taken for their effective weight in kg/1000 cm3, which refers to raw materials that are not in compressed form, but in the form in which they usually exist in nature. The main silica mi earths are kieselgur, trembling, diatomite and infusor earth. Although certain types of rocks included in this heading are sometimes called "treble", they are not to be confused with the real infusor earth known as "red stone", which I, because it is formed in the result of the natural decay of certain rocks, is not diatomic land. This latter product, which is used as a soft abrasive for polishing, falls in heading 2513. The various lands of this heading are sometimes mistakenly called "infusory land".
The majority of these lands are used for the manufacture of heat-resistant or heat-resistant and sound-insulating articles of heading 6806 or 69 01. Thus, sawn pieces of diatomite are classified in heading 68 06 if they have not been fired; otherwise they are classified in heading 6901. Some of the articles of this heading are used as abrasive or polishing powders. This heading does not cover activated diatomite, namely diatomite calcined with sintering substances such as sodium chloride or sodium carbonate (heading 3802). On the other hand, a diatomite calcified (without the addition of other reagents) for the removal of impurities, or a diatomite washed for this purpose in an acid, without changing the structure of the product, is included in this heading.

Notes
Machine translation. The original is the Russian text of the EAEU tariff, and customs goes by it; this translation is for understanding only and has no legal force.
1. Unless otherwise specified in the context of or in note 4 to this chapter, this chapter includes only products raw or washed (including with chemicals that remove impurities without changing the structure of the product), crushed, ground, powdered, sifted, enriched by flotation, magnetic separation or other mechanical or physical processes (except crystallization). Products which have been roasted, calcined, mixed or processed by methods not specified in each heading are not included in this chapter.
Products of this group may contain additives of dust suppressant, provided that this does not alter the properties of the product, making it suitable for specific rather than conventional use.
2. This group does not include:
(a) freeze-dried, precipitated or colloidal sulfur (heading 2802);
(b) mineral dyes containing 70 % or more by weight of chemically bound iron in terms of Fe2O3 (heading 2821);
(c) medicinal products or other products of Chapter 30;
(d) perfumes, cosmetics or toiletries (Chapter 33);
(e) dolomite padding mixture (heading 3816);
(f) paving stones, curbstones or paving boards (heading 6801); mosaic cubes or similar articles (heading 6802); slate for roofing, cladding or waterproofing (heading 6803);
(g) precious or semi-precious stones (heading 7102 or 7103);
(h) crystals of sodium chloride or magnesium oxide, artificially grown (other than optical elements), each weighing not less than 2.5 g (heading 3824); optical elements of sodium chloride or magnesium oxide (heading 9001);
(ij) billiard crayons (heading 9504); or
(k) pencils for writing or drawing, pencils for tailors (heading 9609).
3. Any products which may be classified either in heading 2517 or in any other heading of this Chapter shall be classified in heading 2517.
4. Heading 2530 covers, inter alia: vermiculite, perlite and chlorites, unfoamed; natural pigments, whether or not calcified, mixed or unmixed; natural mica oxide of iron; sepiolite (in polished or unpolished pieces); amber; sepiolite agglomerated and amber agglomerated, in plates, rods, sticks, or similar forms, not processed after casting; gagatron (black yanthronate), or with brontrontrontone; or with ambertrontrontone.
