2701 19 — Coal, whether or not pulverised, non-agglomerated (excl. anthracite and bituminous coal)

Coal, whether or not pulverised, non-agglomerated (excl. anthracite and bituminous coal)

Names come in English where the EU Combined Nomenclature publishes them — chapters, headings and subheadings, whose first six digits are the same Harmonized System; deeper EAEU detail is a machine translation, marked as such. Official texts — tariff notes, measures, lists and classification rulings — are the original: customs and your broker go by that wording. Where we show a machine translation of them, it is marked; where our quality check rejected one, the Russian stays.

This heading covers various types of coal and anthracite, dusty or non-dust-shaped, agglomerated (pellets, briquettes, etc.) or non-agglomerated. It also includes briquettes and similar fuels that have been carbonized to make them smokeless. This heading also includes pulverized coal dispersed in water (suspension of coal) and containing small quantities of dispersing agents, especially surfactants. This heading does not include gagat or black amber (heading 2530), lignite, or

lignite (heading 2702), coke and semicoke of coal (heading 2704).
