6307 — Made-up articles of textile materials, incl. dress patterns, n.e.s.

Made-up articles of textile materials, incl. dress patterns, n.e.s.

Names come in English where the EU Combined Nomenclature publishes them — chapters, headings and subheadings, whose first six digits are the same Harmonized System; deeper EAEU detail is a machine translation, marked as such. Official texts — tariff notes, measures, lists and classification rulings — are the original: customs and your broker go by that wording. Where we show a machine translation of them, it is marked; where our quality check rejected one, the Russian stays.

In addition to the made up articles listed above, this heading covers articles in the length, made up as described in Note 7 to Section XI, provided they are not covered by other headings of Section XI. This applies, for example, to textile draught excluders for doors or windows (including those with a layer of wadding). Sub-Chapter II SQUIREMENT 6308—Nabores consisting of fabrics and yarns or threads, with or without accessories, for the manufacture of carpets, tapestries, embroidered tablecloths or napkins or similar textiles, packaged for retail sale

The kits of this heading are used for embroidering, making rugs, etc. They must consist of at least one piece of woven fabric (e.g., canvas, whether or not printed with an embroidery design) and yarn or thread, whether or not cut to length (embroidery threads, rug-making yarn, etc.). Accessories such as needles and hooks may also be included in the kit. The fabric may be of any kind and may even be worked, e.g., as in the case of hemmed canvas used for making embroidered tapestries; however, it should be

noted that the fabric must remain the raw material for the work to be done and can never be an "article" in a condition ready for use without further finishing, such as, for example, a hemmed tablecloth which needs only to be decorated with a few embroidered motifs. It should be noted that this heading covers kits put up in packings for retail sale. The heading excludes kits of fabric, whether or not cut to shape, intended for making garments; these fall in their appropriate headings.
