7116 10 — Articles of natural or cultured pearls, n.e.s.
Articles of natural or cultured pearls, n.e.s.
Names come in English where the EU Combined Nomenclature publishes them — chapters, headings and subheadings, whose first six digits are the same Harmonized System; deeper EAEU detail is a machine translation, marked as such. Official texts — tariff notes, measures, lists and classification rulings — are the original: customs and your broker go by that wording. Where we show a machine translation of them, it is marked; where our quality check rejected one, the Russian stays.

7116 Articles of natural or cultured pearls, precious or semi-precious stones (natural, synthetic or reconstructed): 7116 10 – Of natural or cultured pearls 7116 20 – Of precious or semi-precious stones (natural, synthetic or reconstructed)
This heading covers all articles (other than those excluded by Notes 2 (B) and 3 to this Chapter) consisting wholly or partly of natural or cultured pearls, precious or semi-precious stones, but not containing precious metals or metal clad with precious metal (except as minor constituents) (see Note 2 (B) to this Chapter).
Thus, this heading covers: (A) Articles of personal adornment and other decorated articles (e.g., clasps and frames for ladies' or men's bags, etc.; combs, brushes; ear-rings; cuff-links and similar articles) containing natural or cultured pearls, precious or semi-precious stones (natural, synthetic or reconstructed), set or mounted in base metal (whether or not plated with precious metal), ivory, wood, plastics, etc. It includes pearls or stones graded by size, quality, shade, etc., and constituting an article ready for use as jewellery. However, this heading excludes ungraded or graded pearls and ungraded stones, merely strung temporarily for convenience of transport without any fixing on metal or other material; these fall in heading 7101, 7103 or 7104 (see the Explanatory Notes to headings 7101 – 7103). Under Note 2 (B) to this Chapter, the goods covered by this heading may contain precious metal or metal clad with precious metal as minor constituents (e.g., a pearl necklace with a gold clasp). On the other hand, this heading excludes goods (e.g., ear-rings with gold clips) in which precious metal or metal clad with precious metal is more than a minor constituent (heading 7113). (B) Other articles wholly or partly of precious or semi-precious stones; they may also contain other materials, including precious metals or metals clad with precious metal, provided that the latter are present only as minor constituents. Subject to these conditions, this heading covers crosses and rings (often of agate), bracelets (other than watch bracelets), goblets and cups (often of garnet); statuettes and ornamental articles (e.g., of jade); mortars and pestles (e.g., of agate); knife-edges or bearings of agate or of other precious or semi-precious stones for balances; agate guides for drawing thread; ornamental stoppers with agate caps, etc.; agate burnishing tools used for gilding, polishing leather, paper, etc.; agate rings for fishing rods, paper knives, inkwells, paperweights, ash trays (e.g., of agate or onyx). This heading excludes: (a) goods of Chapter 82 with a working part of precious or semi-precious stones (natural, synthetic or reconstructed) on a support of base metal, metal carbide or cermet, whether or not assembled (e.g., mounted diamonds for glass cutting); (b) machines, equipment, mechanical appliances, electrical goods or parts thereof of Section XVI (see Note 3 (k) to this Chapter); (c) articles of Chapter 90, e.g., mounted or unmounted optical quartz elements suitable for fitting in instruments or apparatus; (d) worked precious or semi-precious stones, mounted or unmounted, being components of clocks or watches (of all kinds) or parts intended for use in clocks or watches of all kinds and in other articles (see Note 4 to Chapter 91).
