8606 — Railway or tramway goods vans and wagons (excl. self-propelled and luggage vans and post office coaches)
Railway or tramway goods vans and wagons (excl. self-propelled and luggage vans and post office coaches)
Names come in English where the EU Combined Nomenclature publishes them — chapters, headings and subheadings, whose first six digits are the same Harmonized System; deeper EAEU detail is a machine translation, marked as such. Official texts — tariff notes, measures, lists and classification rulings — are the original: customs and your broker go by that wording. Where we show a machine translation of them, it is marked; where our quality check rejected one, the Russian stays.

This heading includes vehicles for the carriage of goods on railway networks (any gauge). It also includes small vehicles or platforms for transporting goods on rails, in mines, on construction sites, in factories, warehouses, etc. The latter usually differ in that they are not provided with springs. In addition to ordinary open wagons and platforms (platforms, rollover wagons, etc.) and covered wagons, this heading covers the following specialized types: (1) Tank wagons and the like (e.g. tank wagons, barrel wagons). (2) Thermoinsulated or refrigerated wagons. (3) Self-unloading wagons (tilting wagons, hopper wagons, etc.). (4) Platform wagons with reinforced floors for the carriage of heavy goods. (5) Platforms for transporting timber. (6) Reservoir wagons lined with ceramics, etc., tanks for the transport of chemical goods. (7) Horse carriages. (8) Double-decker wagons (for example, for the carriage of passenger cars). (9) Wagons specially equipped for carrying live poultry or fish. (10) Platforms for the transport of other platforms. (11) Narrow gauge wagons of all kinds. (12) Mine wagons. (13) Carts for the carriage of rails, beams, etc. (14) Platforms equipped with rails for the carriage of trailers moving both on rails and on highways. (15) Wagons and platforms specially designed for the carriage of radioactive goods. Trailers intended for carriage on special platforms equipped with guide rails are not included in this heading (heading 8716).
