0710 80 — Vegetables, uncooked or cooked by steaming or by boiling in water, frozen (excl. potatoes, leguminous vegetables, spinach, New Zealand spinach, orache spinach, and sweetcorn)
Vegetables, uncooked or cooked by steaming or by boiling in water, frozen (excl. potatoes, leguminous vegetables, spinach, New Zealand spinach, orache spinach, and sweetcorn)
Names come in English where the EU Combined Nomenclature publishes them — chapters, headings and subheadings, whose first six digits are the same Harmonized System; deeper EAEU detail is a machine translation, marked as such. Official texts — tariff notes, measures, lists and classification rulings — are the original: customs and your broker go by that wording. Where we show a machine translation of them, it is marked; where our quality check rejected one, the Russian stays.

Machine translation from Russian. The original is the EEC explanatory note, and that is what a classification dispute is argued from; the translation is for understanding and has no legal force.

This heading covers frozen vegetables which, fresh or chilled, are classified in headings 0701 to 0709. The term “frozen” is defined in the general provisions of this chapter. Frozen vegetables of this heading are generally prepared industrially by rapid freezing in order to quickly pass the temperature threshold of maximum crystallization. This avoids rupture of the cellular structure, and so vegetables mostly retain a fresh appearance when thawed. Vegetables to which salt or sugar has been added before freezing, as well as vegetables frozen after cooking on paru or in water, are classified in this heading. However, this heading does not include vegetables prepared by other means (Chapter 20) or prepared with the addition of other ingredients, for example, boned in flour (Section IV).
68 The main frozen vegetables are potatoes, peas, beans, spinach, sugar corn, asparagus, carrots and beets. This heading also includes frozen vegetable mixtures.
