0910 11 — Ginger, neither crushed nor ground
Ginger, neither crushed nor ground
Names come in English where the EU Combined Nomenclature publishes them — chapters, headings and subheadings, whose first six digits are the same Harmonized System; deeper EAEU detail is a machine translation, marked as such. Official texts — tariff notes, measures, lists and classification rulings — are the original: customs and your broker go by that wording. Where we show a machine translation of them, it is marked; where our quality check rejected one, the Russian stays.
Machine translation. The original is the Russian text of the EAEU tariff, and customs goes by it; this translation is for understanding only and has no legal force.

88 This heading covers: (a) ginger (including fresh ginger, and ginger provisionally preserved in brine, unsuitable in that state for immediate consumption); ginger preserved in syrup is excluded from this heading (heading 2008); (b) saffron, which consists of the dried stigmas and styles of the flowers of the saffron crocus (Crocus sativus). It may also be presented in the form of an orange-red powder with a strong, penetrating, pleasant odour. It contains an unstable colouring element. It is used as a condiment, and also in confectionery and in medicine; (c) turmeric, or curcuma (Curcuma longa), sometimes incorrectly called "Indian saffron" because of its bright yellow colour; the rhizome of curcuma is supplied either whole or, far more often, in powder form; (d) thyme, or creeping thyme (including wild), and bay leaves, whether or not dried; (e) curry powder, or currie powder, consisting of a mixture in varying proportions of turmeric (curcuma), various other spices (e.g., coriander, black pepper, thyme, or creeping thyme, ginger, cloves) and other flavouring substances (e.g., garlic powder) which, although not falling in this Chapter, are frequently used as spices; (f) dill seeds (Anethum graveolens) and fenugreek seeds (Trigonella foenum graecum); (g) mixtures of products of headings 0904 – 0910, if the individual components of the mixture fall in different headings, e.g., mixtures of pepper (heading 0904) with products of heading 0908.
