1803 10 — Cocoa paste (excl. defatted)
Cocoa paste (excl. defatted)
Names come in English where the EU Combined Nomenclature publishes them — chapters, headings and subheadings, whose first six digits are the same Harmonized System; deeper EAEU detail is a machine translation, marked as such. Official texts — tariff notes, measures, lists and classification rulings — are the original: customs and your broker go by that wording. Where we show a machine translation of them, it is marked; where our quality check rejected one, the Russian stays.

1803 Cocoa paste, low-fat or low-fat: 1803 10 – unfat 1803 20 – partially or completely low-fat
Cocoa paste is produced by grinding roasted cocoa beans (cleaned of shells, husks, skins and germs) between heated millstones or disc-like other plates. When hardening, the resulting product is washed in the form of tablets, lumps or briquettes. In this state, pasta can be used in the confectionery industry, but it is usually used to produce cocoa butter, cocoa powder and chocolate. This heading also includes cocoa paste which is wholly or partly defatted (cocoa cake); it is used for the production of cocoa powder or chocolate, or in some cases for the production of theobromine. This heading does not cover cocoa paste with added sugar or other sweeteners (heading 1806).
