1805 00 — Cocoa powder, not containing added sugar or other sweetening matter
Cocoa powder, not containing added sugar or other sweetening matter
Names come in English where the EU Combined Nomenclature publishes them — chapters, headings and subheadings, whose first six digits are the same Harmonized System; deeper EAEU detail is a machine translation, marked as such. Official texts — tariff notes, measures, lists and classification rulings — are the original: customs and your broker go by that wording. Where we show a machine translation of them, it is marked; where our quality check rejected one, the Russian stays.

1805 Cocoa powder without sugar or other sweeteners
Cocoa powder is prepared by grinding a partially skimmed cocoa paste of heading 1803. This heading covers only cocoa powder without additives of sugar or other sweeteners. It includes, inter alia, cocoa powder, n irradiated after processing crushed cocoa beans, cocoa pastes or cocoa powder with alkaline substances (sodium carbonate or potassium, etc.) to increase its solubility (soluble cocoa). Cocoa powder with added sugar or other sweeteners and cocoa powder to which powdered milk or peptones have been added falls in heading 1806. However, medicinal products in which the cocoa powder merely serves as a carrier or binder for medicinal substances are classified in heading 3003 or 3004.
