3705 Photographic plates and film, exhibited and manifested, other than film
This heading covers photographic plates and photographic film of heading 3701 or 3702, exposed and manifested, provided that they are perforated and are of the types used to reproduce or project fixed images. Both negatives and positives are included in this heading; the latter are sometimes called positives if they are transparent. This heading also covers microco Pia on a transparent basis (microfilms). This heading includes graduated (curtain) screens of half-tone shaded contact film, consisting of a plurality of points, usually arranged in staggered order, and other screens obtained by photographic means and used in graphic art. This heading does not cover: (a) the developed film used for film projectors for the display of motion pictures (heading 3706); (b) the photographic paper, cardboard or textile materials manifested (Chapter 49 or Section XI);
(c) manifested plates ready for printing purposes (e.g. offset printing) (heading 8442).
