4704 29 00 — Chemical wood pulp, sulphite, other than dissolving grades: semi-bleached or bleached: non-coniferous
Chemical wood pulp, sulphite, other than dissolving grades: semi-bleached or bleached: non-coniferous
Names come in English where the EU Combined Nomenclature publishes them — chapters, headings and subheadings, whose first six digits are the same Harmonized System; deeper EAEU detail is a machine translation, marked as such. Official texts — tariff notes, measures, lists and classification rulings — are the original: customs and your broker go by that wording. Where we show a machine translation of them, it is marked; where our quality check rejected one, the Russian stays.

4704 Cellulose wood, sulfite, except soluble varieties: - unbleached: 4704 11 - - from conifers 4704 19 - from hardwoods - semi-whitewashed or bleached: 4704 21 - from conifers 4704 29 - from hardwoods
The sulphite process usually takes place in an acidic solution and takes its name from various “sulphite” chemicals, such as calcium bisulfite (calcium hydrogen sulfite), magnesium bisulfite (magnesium hydrogen sulfite), sodium bisulfite (sodium hydrogen sulfite), ammonium bisulfite (ammonium hydrogen sulfite), which are used in the preparation of ferrous acid (see the Explanatory Note to heading 4702). The solution also contains free sulfur dioxide. The process is widely used to treat fibres of fir wood. Sulfite cellulose is used, alone or in a mixture with other types and cellulose, for various types of writing or printing paper, etc. It is also used, inter alia, for greasy or shiny transparent paper.
