(A) Silk thread and silk waste yarn. This includes the threads and yarns of headings 5004 and 5005 prepackaged for retail sale, subject to the conditions described in point (I)(B)(3) of the general provisions of Section XI. (B) Silkworm fiber. The fibre from the silkworm glands is obtained by extracting and pulling the silk separating glands of silkworms killed by immersion in diluted acetic acid at the stage when they are ready to curl cocoons. Silkworm fibers are less flexible and shiny than horse hair and rarely exceed a length of 50 cm. This heading does not cover: (a) sterile kegut (heading 3006);
(b) imitation of a silk ketgut of heading 5604; (c) fibres of silkworm glands fitted with hooks or made in the form of fishing lines (heading 9507).
