Names come in English where the EU Combined Nomenclature publishes them — chapters, headings and subheadings, whose first six digits are the same Harmonized System; deeper EAEU detail is a machine translation, marked as such. Official texts — tariff notes, measures, lists and classification rulings — are the original: customs and your broker go by that wording. Where we show a machine translation of them, it is marked; where our quality check rejected one, the Russian stays.

5110 A yarn made of coarse animal hair or horse hair (including postum thread made of horse hair), packaged or unpackaged for retail sale
This heading covers: (1) Yarn, single or multiple (folded or cabled), spun from slubbing of coarse animal hair (see the Explanatory Note to heading 5102 defining the term "coarse animal hair"). This yarn is used in the manufacture of certain fabrics, padding or articles for technical uses. (2) Horsehair yarn. Such yarn is obtained by spinning the generally shorter horsehair (from the manes of horses or the tails of bovine animals). The longer hairs from the tails of horses cannot be spun. The ends of such hairs are often tied together to form long threads which are used as warp in the manufacture of certain horsehair fabrics. In view of this use, threads of this kind are also classified in this heading. However, single horsehairs (not tied end to end) fall in heading 0511. Horsehair yarn consisting of bundles of horsehair bound or wrapped with cotton thread or with thread of other textile material is classified in this heading. These yarns may have undergone the treatments referred to in Part (I) (B) (1) of the General Explanatory Note to Section XI.
