Names come in English where the EU Combined Nomenclature publishes them — chapters, headings and subheadings, whose first six digits are the same Harmonized System; deeper EAEU detail is a machine translation, marked as such. Official texts — tariff notes, measures, lists and classification rulings — are the original: customs and your broker go by that wording. Where we show a machine translation of them, it is marked; where our quality check rejected one, the Russian stays.

(A) MACHROVE Cloth fabrics and ANALOGICAL MACHROUGH fabrics These fabrics have a loop pile and are used for towels, bathing and beach robes, peñoires, toilet periphers, etc. They have a strained duck and two types of main threads, of which one is stretched and the second sags, forming loops on the surface of the fabric. The proportion in which these two types of basic threads in the fabric are located may be different, but there are usually the same number of threads in the ground base and in the pile base. Loops, often twisted, are usually found on both sides of the fabric, but sometimes only on one side; sometimes they can be cut. Loops can evenly cover the entire surface or form bands, cells, diamonds or more complex patterns. However, this heading does not include fabrics having a pile on one side only, all the hinges of which are cut (heading 5801). This heading also excludes: (a) terry knitted or hand-knitted fabrics (heading 6001);

(b) a cloth in a piece which, by simple cutting along certain lines indicated by the absence of the threads, can be converted into separate articles with fringes (heading 6302).

(B) TUFTED TEXTILE FABRICS These fabrics are obtained by inserting yarns, by means of a system of needles and hooks, into a pre-existing textile ground fabric (woven, knitted or crocheted, felt or fur felt, nonwoven, etc.) so as to form loops or, if the hooks are combined with a cutting device, tufts of cut pile. The articles of this heading are distinguished from the tufted carpets and floor coverings of heading 5703 by, for example, their lower stiffness, thickness and strength, which make them unsuitable for use as floor coverings. Furthermore, these fabrics are distinguished from the pile fabrics of heading 6001 having rows of chain stitches on the reverse of the fabric by the fact that they have characteristic rows of continuous stitches running along the reverse side.
