Names come in English where the EU Combined Nomenclature publishes them — chapters, headings and subheadings, whose first six digits are the same Harmonized System; deeper EAEU detail is a machine translation, marked as such. Official texts — tariff notes, measures, lists and classification rulings — are the original: customs and your broker go by that wording. Where we show a machine translation of them, it is marked; where our quality check rejected one, the Russian stays.

Except for pile fabrics of heading 6001, this heading covers warp knit fabrics of a width exceeding 30 cm, not containing elastomeric yarn or rubber thread, or containing less than 5 % by weight of such yarn or thread. A detailed description of the manufacture of warp knit fabrics (including those made on galloon knitting machines) is given in the General Explanatory Note to Chapter 60, paragraph (A) (II). This heading also covers fabrics of polyethylene monofilament or of polyester multifilament, weighing not less than 30 g/m2 and not more than 55 g/m2, having not less than 20 holes/cm2 and not more than 100 holes/cm2, and impregnated or coated with alpha-cypermethrin (ISO), chlorfenapyr (ISO), deltamethrin (INN, ISO), lambda-cyhalothrin (ISO), permethrin (ISO) or pirimiphos-methyl (ISO) (see Subheading Note 1 to this Chapter). Warp knit fabrics may be of various kinds. Unlike the traditional non-openwork fabrics, such as those used in making garments, they include openwork fabrics. Such fabrics, made on warp knitting machines (mainly Raschel machines), are usually similar to net fabrics or lace (but they should not be confused with the latter: see the Explanatory Note to heading 5804) and are often used for making curtains. Like machine-made lace, such imitation knitted or crocheted lace is often produced in fairly wide pieces which, at the final stage, are cut into strips or bands. Such strips or bands, whatever their length, fall in this heading provided their edges are straight and parallel and their width exceeds 30 cm. The heading also excludes: (a) Dressings impregnated or coated with pharmaceutical substances or put up for retail sale (heading 3005); (b) Labels, badges and similar articles, knitted or crocheted, of heading 5807; (c) Embroidered fabrics of heading 5810; (d) Materials of Chapter 59 (i.e., impregnated, coated or laminated fabrics of heading 5903 or 5907, rubberised fabrics of heading 5906 and wicks or gas mantle fabric
gas lamps of heading 5908; (e) finished articles satisfying Note 7 to Section XI (see also Part II of the General Provisions to Section).
