6303 12 — Curtains, incl. drapes, and interior blinds, curtain or bed valances of synthetic fibres, knitted or crocheted (excl. awnings and sunblinds)

Curtains, incl. drapes, and interior blinds, curtain or bed valances of synthetic fibres, knitted or crocheted (excl. awnings and sunblinds)

Names come in English where the EU Combined Nomenclature publishes them — chapters, headings and subheadings, whose first six digits are the same Harmonized System; deeper EAEU detail is a machine translation, marked as such. Official texts — tariff notes, measures, lists and classification rulings — are the original: customs and your broker go by that wording. Where we show a machine translation of them, it is marked; where our quality check rejected one, the Russian stays.

6303 Curtains (including curtains) and inner curtains; lambrequins or bed spots: – knitted machine or hand knitted: 6303 12 – from synthetic threads 6303 19 – from other textile materials – other: 6303 91 – from cotton yarn 6303 92 – from synthetic thread 6303 99 – from other textile materials

This heading covers: (1) Curtains (including drapes) used, for example, on the inside of windows or to close off alcoves, theatre stages, etc. The term "curtains" covers lightweight and transparent or semi-transparent articles as well as articles of heavy fabrics. (2) Interior blinds, generally opaque, mounted on various rollers (e.g., those used in railway carriages). (3) Valances, consisting of strips of fabric fixed above windows to conceal the top of curtains, and bed skirts fixed to beds to cover and decorate them. This heading also covers fabric in the piece which has been processed after weaving in such a way that it is clearly suitable for conversion by a simple operation into finished articles of this heading (i.e., fabric with a frill sewn along one edge, which is converted into curtains simply by cutting into pieces of the required length and hemming). The heading excludes outside blinds (heading 6306).
