Names come in English where the EU Combined Nomenclature publishes them — chapters, headings and subheadings, whose first six digits are the same Harmonized System; deeper EAEU detail is a machine translation, marked as such. Official texts — tariff notes, measures, lists and classification rulings — are the original: customs and your broker go by that wording. Where we show a machine translation of them, it is marked; where our quality check rejected one, the Russian stays.

6814 Worked mica and articles of mica, including agglomerated or reconstituted mica, whether or not on a support of paper, paperboard or other materials: 6814 10 – plates, sheets and strips of agglomerated or reconstituted mica, whether or not on a support 6814 90 – other

This heading covers natural mica treated to a greater extent than by simple sawing or pruning (e.g., carved in three buoyable forms), as well as materials of agglomerated mica or pulpated mica and articles of all these materials. Thin plates and fragments obtained by simple sawing and pruning of mica blocks during mining are classified in heading 2525. This heading covers articles derived from these plates and fragments. Their ribs do not have barbs, since stamping is used to obtain. Natural mica is often used in its pure form in the form of plates or shards. But since the small size of the plates, their low elasticity, high cost, etc. in many cases complicate the use of natural mica, it is often replaced by agglomerated (composite) mica (for example, mycanite, mycafolium), which is obtained by binding superimposed on each other or adjacent fragments of mica, using shellac, natural resins, plastics, asphalt, etc. Agglomerated mica is made in the form of sheets, plates or ribbons of any thickness, often with a fairly large surface. These sheets, etc., are usually reinforced on one or (usually) both sides with textile material or fiberglass, paper or asbestos. Thin mica sheets can also be obtained without resorting to binders, exposing mica powder and pulpated mica waste thermal, chemical and

machining similar to that used to make paper (regene - mica). These thin sheets are then applied to a paper or textile base with an elastic binder; they can also be used to make plates and tapes of a given thickness with the superposition of several thin sheets of mica and fixing them with an organic binder. This heading includes sheets, tapes and rolls in segments; sliced pieces in the form of discs, quadrangles (including squares), etc., for use for various purposes; molded articles such as pipes, piping, etc. All these products can be painted in mass or on the surface, erlen, milled or processed in another way. Due to its high heat resistance and relative transparency, mica, inter alia, is used in the manufacture of observation windows of ovens, drying chambers, etc., unbreakable lamps, safety glasses, etc. But it is mainly used in electrical devices due to its high dielectric properties (in the production of motors, generators, transformers, capacitors, resistors, etc.). It should be noted, however, that mica insulators and other mica parts of olating apparatus, even when disassembled, are classified in headings 8546 to 8548, and mica dielectric capacitors (capacitors) are classified in heading 8532. This heading also excludes (a) mica powder and mica waste (heading 2525); (b) paper or paperboard coated with mica powder (heading 4810 or 4814) and fabrics coated with mica powder (heading 5907). These articles are not to be confused with the agglomerated or regenerated mica described above; (c) vermiculite bloated (heading 6806) (see the relevant HS Explanatory Note); (d) safety glasses and other eye-protection devices made of mica (heading 9004); (e) ornamental fir ornaments of mica (heading 9505).

1. This group does not include:

(a) goods of Chapter 25;

(b) paper and paperboard impregnated or coated with heading 4810 or 4811 (e.g. paper and paperboard coated with mica or graphite powder, bituminised or asphalt);

(c) textile fabrics impregnated or coated with Chapters 56 or 59 (e.g., fabric coated with mica powder, bituminized or asphalt);

(d) articles of Chapter 71;

(e) instruments or parts thereof of Chapter 82;

(f) stones of lithographic heading 8442;

(g) electrical insulators (heading 8546) or fittings of insulating materials of heading 8547;

(h) dental borons (heading 9018);

(ij) articles of Chapter 91 (e.g. watches not intended to be worn on or with oneself and their housings);

(k) articles of Chapter 94 (e.g. furniture, fixtures and lighting equipment, prefabricated constructions);

(l) Articles of Chapter 95 (e.g. toys, games and sports equipment);

(m) articles of heading 9602 made of the materials referred to in Note 2(b) to Chapter 96 or of heading 9606 (e.g. buttons), 9609 (e.g. pencils), 9610 (e.g. slate boards) or 9620 (e.g. monopores, bipeds, tripods and the like); or

(n) Articles of Chapter 97 (e.g. works of art).

2. For the purposes of heading 6802, the term “stone treated for monuments or construction” means not only stone of the various kinds of heading 2515 or 2516, but also all other kinds of natural stone (e.g. quartzite, flint, dolomite and steatite) treated in a similar manner, with the exception of slate.

1. For the purposes of subheadings 6815 91 000 2 and 6815 99 000 2, the term “chemical bundle” means an inorganic component of a refractory material (solution of phosphates, chlorides, sulfates, alkaline silicates or other salts) with which the other components of a refractory material at a temperature below 800 °C give strength to the article during manufacture.
