Names come in English where the EU Combined Nomenclature publishes them — chapters, headings and subheadings, whose first six digits are the same Harmonized System; deeper EAEU detail is a machine translation, marked as such. Official texts — tariff notes, measures, lists and classification rulings — are the original: customs and your broker go by that wording. Where we show a machine translation of them, it is marked; where our quality check rejected one, the Russian stays.

Pipes and tubes of this heading are produced, for example, by welding or riveting pre-harvested, unclosed pipe blanks obtained from flat rolled products. Pipe blanks can be made: - by continuous longitudinal or spiral formation of an infinite strip of flat rolled rolls using molding rolls; or - by pressing the sheets using flat rolled not in rolls. For welded pipes, docked edges are welded without filler metal by melting or by contact welding or induction welding or arc welding with filler metal and flux or in a gaseous protective medium to prevent oxidation. In products obtained by riveting, the docked edges are superimposed on each other and connected with rivets. The articles of this heading may be coated, for example, with plastic or glass wool in combination with bitumen. These products include trunk pipes for oil pipelines or gas pipelines, casing pipes for oil or gas wells, pipes for main water ducts of odes or pulp pipes for coal or other solid material, pipes for flatbed structures or construction columns, and for hydropower pipelines, usually reinforced by reinforcement rings. This heading does not cover: (a) pipes, tubes and hollow profiles of heading 7303, 7304 or 7306; (b) fittings for pipes or tubes of ferrous metals (heading 7307); (c) pipes or tubes assembled in specific identifiable articles. Explanation of subheadings. Subheadings 7305 11, 7305 12, 7305 19 and 7305 20 The Explanatory Notes to subheadings 7304 11, 7304 19, 7304 22, 7304 23, 7304 24 and 7304 29 are applicable, mutatis mutandis, to these subheadings. Subheading 7305 11 This subheading includes pipes made of sheet steel by continuous or press-forming or rolling, followed by arc welding with the addition of metal and with flux to prevent oxidation of the metal at the time of melting. After welding, there remains a roller of metal, a “welded seam”, which is clearly visible on the outer surface of the resulting pipe. Subheading 7305 12 This subheading covers mainly pipes made of sheet steel rolls by continuous molding and subsequent contact or induction welding without the addition of meth lla. After welding on the external surface of the resulting pipe, there is no metal roller.

Notes
English text as published in Annex I to Regulation (EU) 2021/1832 (Combined Nomenclature). The EAEU tariff and the EU nomenclature copy these notes from the same convention. For a Russian declaration the binding version is the Russian one: Annex to Decision No 80 of the EEC Council of 14 September 2021.
1. In this chapter, the expression ‘cast iron’ applies to products obtained by casting in which iron predominates by weight over each of the other elements and which do not comply with the chemical composition of steel as defined in note 1(d) to Chapter 72.
2. In this chapter, the word ‘wire’ means hot- or cold-formed products of any cross-sectional shape, of which no cross-sectional dimension exceeds 16 mm.

1. Drilling pipes are used for descent into a borehole and lifting a rock-destroying tool, transferring rotation, creating an axial load on the tool, supplying a washing fluid or compressed air to the bottom. There are ordinary, weighted and leading drill pipes.
Ordinary drill pipes (heading 7304) - usually one-piece round cross-section, are connected by means of drill locks or semi-locks with special large conical threads.
Weighted drill pipes (heading 8431) are usually round or square cross-sections with an increased wall thickness; they are also connected by thread and serve to increase the stiffness of the lower part of the column and to place a load on the rock-destroying tool.
Leading drill pipes (heading 8431) - multifaceted cross-section, are placed at the top of the column of drill pipes and transmit it rotation from the rotator of the drilling rig.
