7320 90 10 — Flat spiral springs, of iron or steel
Flat spiral springs, of iron or steel
Names come in English where the EU Combined Nomenclature publishes them — chapters, headings and subheadings, whose first six digits are the same Harmonized System; deeper EAEU detail is a machine translation, marked as such. Official texts — tariff notes, measures, lists and classification rulings — are the original: customs and your broker go by that wording. Where we show a machine translation of them, it is marked; where our quality check rejected one, the Russian stays.

7320 Springs, leaf-springs and leaves therefor, of iron or steel: 7320 10 – Leaf-springs and leaves therefor 7320 20 – Helical springs 7320 90 – Other
This heading covers springs of all types of ferrous metals, regardless of their field of application, other than watch springs of all types of heading 9114. Springs are made of sheet metal, wire or rods that have the elasticity to return to their original shape even after a significant change in shape. This heading covers the following types of springs: (A) Sheet springs (single-layered or multi-layered) which are used predominantly in vehicle suspension systems (e.g. railway locomotives and rolling stock, automobiles and carts).
(B) Helical springs, which are divided into two main categories: (1) Helical springs, which include compression, stretching and torsion springs made of wire or of rods of round or rectangular cross-section. They are used for different purposes (e.g. in vehicles and in mechanical engineering). (2) Spiral springs, usually conical, made of silt wire and rods of rectangular or oval cross-section, or of flat strip metal. They are mainly used in shock absorbers, railway coupling buffers, garden scissors, hair cutting machines, etc. (C) Flat springs and flat spiral springs, which are used in spring-driven engines, locks, etc. (D) Table springs and ring springs (such as those used in railway buffers, etc.). The springs may be equipped with bracket bolts (for example, for leaf springs) or other connecting elements for mounting or fastening. Spring sheets are also included in this heading. This heading does not cover: (a) springs for rods or poles of umbrellas or awnings (heading 6603); (b) spring washers (heading 7318); (c) springs assembled with other articles, for example automatic devices for closing doors (heading 8302), identifiable parts of machinery (section XVI), or apparatus and appliances of Chapters 90, 91, etc.; (d) shock absorbers and torsion shafts of Section XVII.

Notes
English text as published in Annex I to Regulation (EU) 2021/1832 (Combined Nomenclature). The EAEU tariff and the EU nomenclature copy these notes from the same convention. For a Russian declaration the binding version is the Russian one: Annex to Decision No 80 of the EEC Council of 14 September 2021.
1. In this chapter, the expression ‘cast iron’ applies to products obtained by casting in which iron predominates by weight over each of the other elements and which do not comply with the chemical composition of steel as defined in note 1(d) to Chapter 72.
2. In this chapter, the word ‘wire’ means hot- or cold-formed products of any cross-sectional shape, of which no cross-sectional dimension exceeds 16 mm.

1. Drilling pipes are used for descent into a borehole and lifting a rock-destroying tool, transferring rotation, creating an axial load on the tool, supplying a washing fluid or compressed air to the bottom. There are ordinary, weighted and leading drill pipes.
Ordinary drill pipes (heading 7304) - usually one-piece round cross-section, are connected by means of drill locks or semi-locks with special large conical threads.
Weighted drill pipes (heading 8431) are usually round or square cross-sections with an increased wall thickness; they are also connected by thread and serve to increase the stiffness of the lower part of the column and to place a load on the rock-destroying tool.
Leading drill pipes (heading 8431) - multifaceted cross-section, are placed at the top of the column of drill pipes and transmit it rotation from the rotator of the drilling rig.
