7326 19 — Articles of iron or steel, forged or stamped, but not further worked, n.e.s. (excl. grinding balls and similar articles for mills)

Articles of iron or steel, forged or stamped, but not further worked, n.e.s. (excl. grinding balls and similar articles for mills)

Names come in English where the EU Combined Nomenclature publishes them — chapters, headings and subheadings, whose first six digits are the same Harmonized System; deeper EAEU detail is a machine translation, marked as such. Official texts — tariff notes, measures, lists and classification rulings — are the original: customs and your broker go by that wording. Where we show a machine translation of them, it is marked; where our quality check rejected one, the Russian stays.

This heading covers all articles of iron or steel obtained by forging or punching, by cutting or stamping or by other processes such as folding, assembling, welding, turning, rolling or perforating, other than articles included in the preceding headings of this Chapter or covered by Note 1 to Section XV, or included in Chapter 82 or 83, or more specifically covered elsewhere in the Nomenclature. The heading excludes forgings which constitute articles falling in other headings of the Nomenclature (e.g., identifiable parts of machinery or mechanical appliances), or rough forgings which require further working, while retaining the essential character of the finished articles. The heading also excludes: (a) Articles of heading 4202. (b) Reservoirs, tanks, vats and similar containers of heading 7309 or 7310. (c) Cast articles of iron or steel (heading 7325). Notes to chapter 73 — Articles of iron or steel 3 items

Notes

English text as published in Annex I to Regulation (EU) 2021/1832 (Combined Nomenclature). The EAEU tariff and the EU nomenclature copy these notes from the same convention. For a Russian declaration the binding version is the Russian one: Annex to Decision No 80 of the EEC Council of 14 September 2021.

1. In this chapter, the expression ‘cast iron’ applies to products obtained by casting in which iron predominates by weight over each of the other elements and which do not comply with the chemical composition of steel as defined in note 1(d) to Chapter 72.

2. In this chapter, the word ‘wire’ means hot- or cold-formed products of any cross-sectional shape, of which no cross-sectional dimension exceeds 16 mm.

Additional note

Machine translation. The original is the Russian text of the EAEU tariff, and customs goes by it; this translation is for understanding only and has no legal force.

1. Drilling pipes are used for descent into a borehole and lifting a rock-destroying tool, transferring rotation, creating an axial load on the tool, supplying a washing fluid or compressed air to the bottom. There are ordinary, weighted and leading drill pipes.

Ordinary drill pipes (heading 7304) - usually one-piece round cross-section, are connected by means of drill locks or semi-locks with special large conical threads.

Weighted drill pipes (heading 8431) are usually round or square cross-sections with an increased wall thickness; they are also connected by thread and serve to increase the stiffness of the lower part of the column and to place a load on the rock-destroying tool.

Leading drill pipes (heading 8431) - multifaceted cross-section, are placed at the top of the column of drill pipes and transmit it rotation from the rotator of the drilling rig.
