8307 10 — Flexible tubing of iron or steel, with or without fittings
Flexible tubing of iron or steel, with or without fittings
Names come in English where the EU Combined Nomenclature publishes them — chapters, headings and subheadings, whose first six digits are the same Harmonized System; deeper EAEU detail is a machine translation, marked as such. Official texts — tariff notes, measures, lists and classification rulings — are the original: customs and your broker go by that wording. Where we show a machine translation of them, it is marked; where our quality check rejected one, the Russian stays.

8307 Flexible pipes of base metals, with or without fittings: 8307 10 of ferrous metals 8307 90 of other base metals
There are two main types of flexible metal pipes, differing in the process of their manufacture: (1) Flexible pipes consisting of spirally twisted profiled strips, with fixed or loose edges. Pipes of this type may be waterproof or gasproof by sealing them with rubber, asbestos, textile material, etc. After that, they become suitable for use as waterproof protection for electric cables or flexible transmission systems; vacuum tubes; pipelines for supplying compressed air, steam, gas, water, gasoline, oil or other liquids to engines, machines, pumps, transformers, hydraulic or pneumatic appliances, dominas, etc. Similar pipes, which are not waterproof, are used as pipelines for the supply of sand, grain, dust, shavings, etc., as well as in some cases to protect electric cables, other flexible transmission pipes, rubber hoses, etc. (2) Corrugated flexible pipes obtained, for example, by deformation of pipes with a smooth surface. By their nature, such pipes are water and airtight and can be used without further treatment for the purposes described in paragraph (1) above. In order to increase the resistance of pipes to external pressure, both types of flexible pipes can be reinforced or equipped with one or more braided sleeves made of wire or metal strip. These braids sometimes have a protective coating of spiral wire, and can also be coated with polymeric materials, rubber or textile material. This heading also includes flexible pipes consisting of tightly spirally wound wire (for example, used for shells of flexible cables or bicycle brake cables). This does not include similar articles not used as pipes or tubes (e.g. curtain wire juice) (usually heading 7326). Flexible pipes which are short in length and intended for thermal or antivibration purposes (known as thermostatic bellows or compensation seams) remain in this heading. This heading also includes pipes equipped with couplings, joints, etc. This heading also excludes: (a) rubber hoses connected or equipped with external metal reinforcement fittings (heading 4009); (b) flexible pipes made as parts of machinery or vehicles, etc., for example by assembly with other materials (sections XVI and XVII).

1. In this Chapter, parts of articles made of base metals shall be classified in the same headings as the articles to which they belong. However, articles of ferrous metals of heading 7312, 7315, 7317, 7318 or 7320 or similar articles of other base metals (Chapters 74 to 76 and 78 to 81) are not to be regarded as parts of articles of this Chapter.
2. For the purposes of heading 8302, the term “furniture wheels” means furniture wheels or rollers of a diameter (including, where appropriate, a tyre) not exceeding 75 mm or the same wheels or rollers of a diameter (including, where applicable, a tyre) greater than 75 mm, provided that the width of the wheel or tyre mounted on it is less than 30 mm.
