Carboxyimide-function compounds (including saccharin and its salts) and imine-function compounds: imides and their derivatives; salts thereof: saccharin and its salts

Names come in English where the EU Combined Nomenclature publishes them — chapters, headings and subheadings, whose first six digits are the same Harmonized System; deeper EAEU detail is a machine translation, marked as such. Official texts — tariff notes, measures, lists and classification rulings — are the original: customs and your broker go by that wording. Where we show a machine translation of them, it is marked; where our quality check rejected one, the Russian stays.

Duty rate
5%

This is the base rate. A tariff quota, a preference for the country of origin and a tariff exemption lower it; anti-dumping and special duties are paid on top of it

EEC Council Decision No. 80 of 14.09.2021

Supplementary unit
Not applicable
Requirements and measures
4

None: russian bans and restrictions, dual use, trade defence measures — duty on top of the tariff, tariff quota.

Whether a measure applies to your goods depends on their characteristics and the shipping documents

VAT
22% or 10%

10% if the product matches the line of List No. 908: “Органические химические соединения”. Otherwise 22%.

2925 Carboxyimide-function compounds (including saccharin and its salts) and imine-function compounds: – Imides and their derivatives; salts thereof: 2925 11 – – Saccharin and its salts 2925 12 – – Glutethimide (INN) 2925 19 – – Other – Imines and their derivatives; salts thereof: 2925 21 – – Chlordimeform (ISO) 2925 29 – – Other

72 Imides have a general formula (R=NH), in which R is a bibasic acyl radical. (1) Saccharin or 1,1-dioxide 1,2-benzizothiazoline-3-one and its salts. saccharin is a white crystalline odorless powder that has a very sweet taste; its sodium and ammonium salts have a lower sweetening capacity, but are more soluble. Tablets consisting exclusively of one of these products are classified in this heading. Preparations for nutritional use consisting of a mixture of saccharin or its salts with foodstuffs such as lactose are, however, excluded from this heading and are classified in heading 2106 (see note 1(b) to Chapter 38). These preparations consisting of saccharin or its salts and substances other than foodstuffs such as sodium hydrogen carbonate (sodium bicarbonate) and tartaric acid are classified in heading 3824. (2) Succinimide, used in chemical synthesis. (3) Phthalimide, used in chemical synthesis. (4) Glutethymide. Psychotropic substance – see the list at the end of Chapter 29. Organic imide derivatives of inorganic acids are classified in heading 2929. (B) Imins, like imids, are characterized by a group = NH, but it is associated with a non-acid organic radical: (R2C=NH). (1) Guanidins. The action of cyanamide on ammonia gives iminourea, known as guanidine; this compound can be considered as a derivative of urea obtained by the substitution of oxygen (>C=O)-group by the imino group (=NH): NH2·CO·NH2 NH2·C=NH2 urea guanidine Guanidine is also formed by the oxidation of proteins; it can be obtained by synthesis. It is a crystalline colorless and blurring substance. Its derivatives are: (a) diphenylguanidine. A rubber vulcanization accelerator; (b) di-o-tolylguanidine. Accelerator vulcanization of rubber; (c) o-tolyldiguanide. Rubber vulcanization accelerator. (2) Aldimines. These compounds have the general formula (R·CH=N·R1) in which R and R1 are alkyl or aryl radicals (methyl, ethyl, phenyl, etc.) or sometimes hydrogen. They make up products known as shiff bases, the most important of which are: (a) ethylidenaniline; (b) butylidenaniline; (c) aldol- - and - -naphthylamines; (d) ethylidene-p-toluidine. All these products are used in the rubber industry. (3) Simple iminoesters.

73 (4) Amidines. (5) 2,6-Dichlorophenolindophenol. This heading does not, however, cover cyclic polymers of aldymines (heading 2933).
