Names come in English where the EU Combined Nomenclature publishes them — chapters, headings and subheadings, whose first six digits are the same Harmonized System; deeper EAEU detail is a machine translation, marked as such. Official texts — tariff notes, measures, lists and classification rulings — are the original: customs and your broker go by that wording. Where we show a machine translation of them, it is marked; where our quality check rejected one, the Russian stays.

6815 Articles of stone or other mineral substances (including carbon fibres, carbon fibres and peat products) not elsewhere specified or included: 6815 10 articles of graphite sludge and other carbonaceous materials not used in electrical engineering 6815 20 articles of peat - other articles: 6815 91 - - containing magnesite, dolomite or chromite 6815 99 - other articles
This heading covers articles of stone or other mineral substances not described in the preceding headings of this Chapter and not included in the other headings of the Nomenclature; thus it does not include, for example, ceramic articles of Chapter 69. This heading covers, inter alia: (1) Articles not used in electrical engineering made of natural or artificial graphite (including graphite rods for nuclear reactors) or other carbonaceous materials
materials, for example: filters; discs; bearings; pipes and pulleys; worked briquettes and tiles; moulds for making small articles of complex shape (e.g., coins, medals, tin soldiers for collections). (2) Carbon fibres and articles thereof. Carbon fibres are usually produced by carbonising fibres of organic polymers. These articles are used, for example, for reinforcement. (3) Articles of peat (e.g., sheets, cylinder shells, plant-growing pots). However, textile articles of peat fibres are excluded from this heading (Section XI). (4) Unfired bricks of dolomite agglomerated with tar. (5) Bricks and other shapes (in particular of magnesite or chrome-magnesite), chemically bonded but not yet fired. The same articles, when fired, are excluded from this heading (heading 6902 or 6903). (6) Unfired tanks of silica or alumina (e.g., for melting glass). (7) Touchstones for testing precious metal; they may be natural stones (e.g., lydite, a hard fine-grained dark stone resistant to acids). (8) Blocks and slabs for paving roads, obtained by moulding molten slag without the use of binders; however, the heading excludes articles with heat-insulating properties of heading 6806. (9) Filtering tubes of finely ground and agglomerated quartz or flint gravel and pebbles. (10) Blocks, slabs, sheets and other articles of fused basalt; because of their high resistance to wear they are used as linings for pipelines, belts of belt conveyors, coke ovens, coal and ore chutes, and troughs in the extraction of gravel, stone, etc. The heading also excludes: (a) blocks, plates and similar semi-manufactures of artificial graphite or other forms of carbon, used mainly in the manufacture of electric brushes (heading 3801) (see the corresponding Explanatory Note); (b) refractory articles fired like ceramics, based on carbonaceous materials (graphite, coke, etc.) and coal tar or clay (heading 6902 or 6903, as the case may be); (c) carbon electrodes, carbon brushes, lamp carbons and battery carbons and other parts or articles for electrical purposes (heading 8545).

1. This group does not include:
(a) goods of Chapter 25;
(b) paper and paperboard impregnated or coated with heading 4810 or 4811 (e.g. paper and paperboard coated with mica or graphite powder, bituminised or asphalt);
(c) textile fabrics impregnated or coated with Chapters 56 or 59 (e.g., fabric coated with mica powder, bituminized or asphalt);
(d) articles of Chapter 71;
(e) instruments or parts thereof of Chapter 82;
(f) stones of lithographic heading 8442;
(g) electrical insulators (heading 8546) or fittings of insulating materials of heading 8547;
(h) dental borons (heading 9018);
(ij) articles of Chapter 91 (e.g. watches not intended to be worn on or with oneself and their housings);
(k) articles of Chapter 94 (e.g. furniture, fixtures and lighting equipment, prefabricated constructions);
(l) Articles of Chapter 95 (e.g. toys, games and sports equipment);
(m) articles of heading 9602 made of the materials referred to in Note 2(b) to Chapter 96 or of heading 9606 (e.g. buttons), 9609 (e.g. pencils), 9610 (e.g. slate boards) or 9620 (e.g. monopores, bipeds, tripods and the like); or
(n) Articles of Chapter 97 (e.g. works of art).
2. For the purposes of heading 6802, the term “stone treated for monuments or construction” means not only stone of the various kinds of heading 2515 or 2516, but also all other kinds of natural stone (e.g. quartzite, flint, dolomite and steatite) treated in a similar manner, with the exception of slate.

1. For the purposes of subheadings 6815 91 000 2 and 6815 99 000 2, the term “chemical bundle” means an inorganic component of a refractory material (solution of phosphates, chlorides, sulfates, alkaline silicates or other salts) with which the other components of a refractory material at a temperature below 800 °C give strength to the article during manufacture.
