Milking machines and dairy machinery: dairy machinery

Names come in English where the EU Combined Nomenclature publishes them — chapters, headings and subheadings, whose first six digits are the same Harmonized System; deeper EAEU detail is a machine translation, marked as such. Official texts — tariff notes, measures, lists and classification rulings — are the original: customs and your broker go by that wording. Where we show a machine translation of them, it is marked; where our quality check rejected one, the Russian stays.

8434 Milking installations and apparatus; machinery for the treatment and processing of milk: 8434 10 – milking installations and apparatus 8434 20 – machinery for the treatment and processing of milk 8434 90 – parts

This heading covers mechanical milking machines and other machinery used for processing milk or for processing it into other dairy products on dairy farms or in industrial production. The milking plant includes a block of milking glasses (each with a rubber sleeve), which are connected on the one hand through a pulsator to a vacuum pump, and on the other hand to a collector for collecting milk (usually of corrosion-resistant steel). The pulsator, which is fixed on the milk collector lid, acts on milking glasses with variable pressure, creating a relative vacuum between the glasses and the shells. This unit, formed from a group of milking glasses, a pulsator and a milk collector, is called a "milking machine". In certain smaller plants, milking machines and a vacuum pump may be on a common basis (machine from one or two milking machines). In larger installations, the different pine parts are usually shared. K

a varying number of milking units may be connected to the vacuum pump by means of a pipeline. In installations of a certain type there are no collectors for gathering the milk; the milk passes directly from the teat cups through a milk pipeline to the cooling installations or storage tanks, the milk pipeline being mainly stationary. These types include milking robots, also known as voluntary milking systems. These systems, incorporating all the equipment needed for automatic milking, inter alia, a movable robotic arm, electronic devices, a vacuum pump, a compressor, a washing machine, milk measuring devices, etc., are designed for milking cows on their own initiative. Each cow wears a collar with a transponder for its identification, so that the system can determine whether the animal is ready for milking. Milking is performed by the robotic arm, equipped with a laser vision system, which makes it possible to direct the milking devices straight onto the cow's teats. When presented together, the various component parts of such installations are classified in this heading as a functional unit in accordance with Note 4 to Section XVI (see the General Explanatory Note to that Section). However, apparatus and appliances not directly related to the milking function (filters, cooling devices, storage tanks, apparatus for washing teat cups and milk pipelines, etc.) are excluded from this heading and fall in their appropriate headings. (II) DAIRY MACHINERY FOR THE TREATMENT OF MILK This category includes homogenisers. These machines break up the fat globules into smaller particles which are more easily assimilated by the body and which remain longer in emulsion without separating into cream. Most machines for the treatment of milk depend essentially on the heat-exchange principle and are therefore excluded from this heading (heading 8419), e.g., apparatus for pasteurising, stassanising or sterilising; apparatus for producing condensed or powdered milk; milk coolers. This heading also excludes: (a) refrigerating equipment (whether or not specially designed for cooling or storing milk) and milk-cooling tanks combined with the evaporator of a refrigerating unit (heading 8418); (b) cream separators, filter presses and other filtering or purifying machinery or apparatus (heading 8421). (However, simple funnels with filters and milk strainers are classified according to their constituent material); (c) washing machines for milk churns, and machines for filling milk into bottles or cans and closing them (heading 8422). (III) MACHINERY FOR PROCESSING MILK INTO OTHER DAIRY PRODUCTS It should be noted that milk separators are excluded from here (heading 8421). However, this heading covers machines used for making butter and cheese. These include: (A) Butter-making machinery and appliances. (1) Butter churns usually consist of a stainless steel barrel inside which there are a number of baffles or paddles. When this barrel or the paddles are rotated by a motor, the cream forms a foam, and on further beating it turns into butter.

(2) Combined oil grinders and oil producers. These machines, used in continuous oil production, consist mainly of electric motors that drive cylinders with rapidly rotating elements that turn cream into oil. The oil is continuously squeezed through the working elements of the machine. (3) Oil molding machines for presentation purposes, but do not include machinery which also packs or weighs the product (headings 8422 and 8423). (B) Cheese machines. (1) Machines for grinding and homogenizing cheese clots in the production of soft or cream cheeses. (2) Machines for forming hard, semi-hard and soft or cream cheeses, but not including machinery which also packs or weighs products (headings 8422 and 8423). (3) Cheese presses (e.g. mechanical presses, pneumatic presses, etc.) are mainly used in the production of hard cheeses both to shape the product and to remove moisture. It should be noted that this heading does not include many machines and apparatus used in the dairy industry. For example, tanks and receptacles intended for storage, maturation, treatment, etc., the functioning of which is primarily dependent on available heating or cooling equipment, are classified in heading 8418 or 8419, whether they are also combined with mechanical equipment such as, for example, stirrers or not. Tanks, etc., which are not equipped with heating or cooling equipment, but which include mechanical means such as stirriers, kneading mechanisms, rollover mechanisms, etc., are classified in this heading provided that they are identified as specialized for use in the dairy industry. Where they are not identified for a particular use, they are classified in heading 8479.Tanks, etc., not equipped with heating or cooling equipment or mechanical equipment, are classified according to the material of which they are made (e.g. heading 7309, 7310, 7419, 7611 or 7612).

Subject to the general provisions relating to the classification of parts (see the general provisions of Section XVI), parts of machinery of this heading are also included in this heading, for example: containers, covers, pulsators, milking glasses and other parts (other than rubber cartridges, etc., heading 4016) for milking plants; oil-cuttering barrels; rollers and tables for oil manufacturers; molding machines and cheese. This heading does not cover appliances for domestic use which fall under heading 8210 or 8509.

The technological line is designed for processing milk in the production of soft cheeses.

Full description

Main areas: storage of raw chilled milk; pasteurizer of raw milk; cooler of raw cream; storage of skimmed and normalized milk; storage of cream and retentate; pasteurization of cream; ultrafiltration of skimmed milk; pasteurization of normalized milk; secondary maturation; permeate / whey; bath line; whey separation line; separating line from moulds and salts; electric shield and line control room; CIP production and CIP raw and normalized milk, including my milk. The set of this delivery includes the technological binding of the line, including represented by tanks, valves, pumps, electric motors, automation, pipes and pipe structures, fittings, knees, plugs, adapters, gaskets, sensors, detectors, combs, as well as fasteners in the amount necessary for the assembly and installation of line equipment.

Principle of operation: raw milk is supplied to the process line from a site of hard cheeses for cooling, pasteurization, degreasing and storage in tanks. Next, skim milk under the action of centrifugal force in the separator is separated from the cream, which is then cooled, pasteurized and also moved for storage in tanks. At the next technological stage, to increase the protein content, skim milk from the tanks is sent to the ultrafiltration plant, the resulting product - retentate is moved to storage tanks, and the permeate product is returned to the solid cheese site.

Then, in order to form normalized milk, pasteurized cream, retentate and skim milk are mixed, the mixture is pasteurized and transported for secondary ripening to the tank. The ripened milk is moved to the bath line, where, under the influence of low temperature, it is converted into a mixture (cheese grain / whey), which is then fed to the molding line, where the cheese grain is formed in block forms, the whey is separated. The resulting cheeses are removed from the block molds and moved to the salt device and then sent for final ripening in special chambers.

The main characteristics of the line: milk productivity of 12500 l / h, cheese performance of 3000 tons per year.

After pressing, the cheese mass is laid in the mold, the filled forms are automatically closed with lids. Further, the closed forms along the conveyor are moved to the press for pressing the cheese head with the removal of excess moisture (whey) and giving the cheese the final form according to a given recipe. At the end of pressing, the cheese in the forms is transported to the lid removal device, then to the rotary device, and then to the mould removal device for dissolution using the process of blowing cheese out of the mould.

Then the cheese is sent to the next technological operation of the Ambassador. Performance from 3000 kg to 4500 kg per hour.

GRI 1, 2(a) and 6

Technological equipment for the production of blue mold cheese from normalized cow's milk consists of the following main components: semi-cylindrical cheese manufacturers for 4 000 liters (2 pcs) with control and control panels, strip filter conveyor 4 m, molding conveyor with chain drive of 12 m, molding kits and rotary cannibals, puncturer, heat exchanger pumps.

Full description

The set of this delivery includes technological linking of the line, including connecting pipelines, valves, automation, flow meters, electrical cables, as well as fasteners in the amount necessary for the assembly and installation of equipment.

Principle of operation: normalized milk through a heat exchanger enters the cheese manufacturer, where after adding starter, the process of processing milk into cheese mass occurs. The cheese mass is cut with knives built into the cheese-making containers and fed to an inclined tape filter conveyor, where excess moisture in the form of cheese whey is collected in a whey collection container, from where the pump is pumped out, and the cheese grain is moved to the molding zone. On the molding conveyor, a molding set (tray, block form, distributor) is assembled, which enters the molding position.

After filling the block of forms with cheese grain, the operator puts the stacks of forms in manual rotary cantors and places them in a room for serum drainage.
