Names come in English where the EU Combined Nomenclature publishes them — chapters, headings and subheadings, whose first six digits are the same Harmonized System; deeper EAEU detail is a machine translation, marked as such. Official texts — tariff notes, measures, lists and classification rulings — are the original: customs and your broker go by that wording. Where we show a machine translation of them, it is marked; where our quality check rejected one, the Russian stays.

Electrical motors are machines for converting electrical energy into mechanical energy. This category includes rotational motors and linear motors. (A) Rotary motors are designed to generate mechanical energy in the form of rotational motion. They are of many types and sizes according to whether they operate on direct or alternating current, and according to the scope or purpose for which they are designed. The engine body may be designed to meet the specific conditions in which the engine will operate (e.g. dustproof, splashproof or explosionproof engines; non-rigid bases for belt-driven engines or for engines experiencing severe vibration during operation). Many motors may include a fan or some other device to cool them during operation.

With the exception of devices for starting internal combustion engines (heading 8511), this heading covers electric motors of all types, from low-power appliance motors, clock switches, sewing machines, toys, etc., to large, powerful electric motors for rolling mills, etc. Engines are classified in this heading even if they are equipped with pulleys, gears or gearboxes, or a flexible shaft for driving p scientific tools. This heading includes outboard “outboard motors”, which are an assembly comprising an electric motor, a shaft, a propeller and a steering wheel. Synchronous motors for clockwork are classified in this heading even if they are geared; however, such synchronous motors connected directly to the clockwork do not fall within it (heading 9109). (B) Linear motors are designed to generate mechanical energy in the form of straight-line motion. Induction linear motors consist of one or more primary elements comprising magnetic circuits, which typically have a layered design (set of magnetic plates) on which the coil is located, and of a secondary element, usually made in the form of a plate or profile of copper or aluminum. These motors create a driving force when, in the presence of a secondary element, an alternating current is supplied to the primary. These two elements are separated from each other by an air gap, so that translational motion (one element is stationary, the other moves) occurs without mechanical contact. Characteristics of linear induction motors depend on the goal to achieve which they are designed: the drive of trains on an air cushion (the rig elements installed in vehicles so that they cover the rail (secondary element) fixed on the way); the drive of equipment for overloading of bulk cargoes (the secondary plate installed under the wheel trolley moves through the rim of primary windings located between the rails); the drive of suspension conveyors (trolls equipped with primary elements move under the secondary profile) (for example, the placement of vehicles in the secondary machining motors, the return of the motors in the electric magnets (for example, the motors can be used in the motors in the electric magnets, in the magnet-carrivehicles, in the mains, for example, moving in the motors, in the motors (for example, in the motors, in the magnets, in the motors, for example, in the magnets, for example, for example, in the magnets, in the magnets). This type of equipment also includes: (1) Servomotors, if presented separately, consisting mainly of an electric motor with a gear gearbox and equipped with a power transmission device (e.g., lever, pulley), which is designed to control the position of the regulating body in the boiler, in the furnace or other aggregate those (and possibly

with a manual emergency shutter). (2) Selsin motors having a stator with three windings arranged at an angle of 120° with respect to each other and a rotor with one winding connected to two contact rings for use in pairs (se elsin sensor and selsin receiver), for example in telemetry systems or remote control systems. (3) Valve drives, electric, which are an electric motor with a gear gear gearbox and drive shaft and in some cases with various devices (electric starter, transformer, flywheel, etc.) for driving the valve rod. (ii) Electrical Generators This includes machines generating electricity from various sources of energy (mechanical, solar, etc.), provided that they are not more specifically covered by any other heading of the Nomenclature. There are two main categories of generators: DC generators (self-excited generators) and AC generators (synchronous generators). In principle, both types consist mainly of a stator installed in the housing and a rotating assembly (rotor) installed inside the stator on the shaft driven from the primary motor. In DC generators, a plate collar lecturer is installed on the rotor shaft. The generated electric current is collected by a system of coal brushes in contact with the collector plates and transmitted to an external circuit. AC generators are brushless in most cases, and the electric current they produce is transmitted directly to an external circuit. In other alternators, the electric current is collected using contact rings mounted on the rotor shaft and transmitted by a system of coal brushes when they are rubbed against the contact rings. A stator is usually a system of electromagnets, but some types of DC generators (magnetoelectric generators) use a permanent magnet system. The rotor is usually a system of turns of wire mounted on a layered iron nick heart, such a system is known as an anchor. In some types of alternators, the rotating part is a field system. Electric generators may have a manual or foot drive, but they usually have a primary motor (e.g., hydraulic turbines, steam turbines, wind turbines, steam engines with reciprocating piston motion, piston internal combustion engines). However, this heading covers only generators which are presented without primary engines. This heading also includes photovoltaic generators consisting of a panel of solar cells in combination with other devices, for example, batteries and electronic controls (voltage regulator, inverter, etc.), and panels or modules equipped with simple elements (for example, diodes for regulating the direction of current) that directly feed, for example, a motor or an electrolyser. In such devices, electricity is produced by solar cells, which convert solar energy directly into electrical (photoelectric conversion). This heading also includes all electric generators, including large generators for power plants; small auxiliary torus generators for excitation of windings in other generators; generators of various sizes used for power supply in

various purposes (e.g., on ships, on farms not connected to the mains, in the chemical industry for electrolysis, and in diesel-electric trains). The heading also excludes: (a) drums or rollers incorporating an electric motor, for belt or roller conveyors (heading 8431); (b) vibratory motors and electromagnetic vibrators of heading 8479 (see the Explanatory Note to that heading); (c) electric generators combined with prime movers (heading 8502); (d) high tension generators (heading 8504); (e) primary cells and primary batteries (heading 8506); (f) generators (direct current and alternating current) used in conjunction with internal combustion engines or for electrical lighting or signalling equipment used on cycles or motor vehicles (headings 8511 and 8512, respectively); (g) solar cells, whether or not assembled in modules, whether or not made up into panels, but not fitted with even very simple elements for directly supplying power to a consumer, e.g., a motor, an electrolyser (heading 8541); (h) certain electrical appliances, sometimes called generators, but which do not in fact produce electrical energy, e.g., signal generators (heading 8543); (ij) generators of Chapter 90, e.g., X-ray generators (heading 9022); generators designed for demonstrational purposes and unsuitable for other uses (heading 9023). PARTS Subject to the general provisions regarding the classification of parts (see the General Explanatory Note to Section XVI), parts of the machines of this heading are classified in heading 8503.

The term "printed circuits" does not include circuits combined with elements other than those obtained in the printing process, as well as individual discrete resistors, capacitors or inductors. Printed circuits, however, may be equipped with connecting elements manufactured by a technology other than printing.

LED modules (LED) are not equipped with a cap, facilitating installation or replacement in the lamp, and providing mechanical and electrical contact;

(b) "LED lamps" are electrical light sources containing one or more LED modules containing additional components such as electrical, mechanical, thermal or optical elements. The difference between LED modules (LED) and LED lamps (LED) is that the latter have a cap that facilitates installation or replacement in the lamp, and provides mechanical and electrical contact.
