9007 20 00 — Cinematographic cameras and projectors, whether or not incorporating sound recording or reproducing apparatus: projectors
Cinematographic cameras and projectors, whether or not incorporating sound recording or reproducing apparatus: projectors
Names come in English where the EU Combined Nomenclature publishes them — chapters, headings and subheadings, whose first six digits are the same Harmonized System; deeper EAEU detail is a machine translation, marked as such. Official texts — tariff notes, measures, lists and classification rulings — are the original: customs and your broker go by that wording. Where we show a machine translation of them, it is marked; where our quality check rejected one, the Russian stays.

9007 Film cameras and film projectors containing or not containing sound recording or sound reproduction devices: 9007 10 – film cameras 9007 20 – film projectors – parts and accessories: 9007 91 – for film cameras 9007 92 – for film projectors
This heading covers: (A) Film cameras (including microfilm cameras). They are similar in principle to cameras of heading 9006, but contain specialized means for making a series of pictures in rapid succession. (B) Film cameras for recording both image and sound on the same film. (C) Film projectors, which are stationary or portable devices for the diascopic projection of moving images, having or not having an audio track on the same film. They have an optical system that is based on a light source, reflector, capacitor and projection lens. Projectors also have a mechanism, usually consisting of an obturator for transporting the film, which intermittently extends the film behind the optical system, usually at the same speed as the film was shot, and the light source closes as the film moves through the film channel. The light source in movie projectors is usually an electric arc lamp, but some projectors may use incandescent lamps. Cinemas can be equipped with a film rewinding device and a fan. Some projectors can be equipped with a two-circuit water cooling system. This heading covers special types of film projectors, for example projectors, which project images enlarged to varying degrees onto an optically flat surface, enabling scientific investigations of the phenomena photographed. "Frames" can be studied one at a time or continuously at different number of frames per second. On the other hand, in-movement viewing devices specially designed for film editing do not fall under this heading (heading 9010). Film projectors can be combined with sound recording or sound reproduction equipment, which is equipped with a reader,
including a photoelectric sound head and a charge-coupled device. The soundtracks of most commercial films are printed in dual format, that is, analog and digital. Analog audio tracks are printed between frames and perforations, while digital audio tracks are printed either at the edges of the film, outside the perf oration, or between perforation holes. Some commercial films are printed with analog audio track and digital synchronizing information only at the edges of the film, since the digital audio track is not printed on film, but recorded separately on a CD. When the film passes through the reader, the photoelectric sound head reads the analog audio track, and the charge-coupled device reads the digital audio track or, in the latter case, synchronizing information to ensure the synchronization of sound from the CD and the projected movie. Printing audio tracks in a double format makes it possible to reproduce sound if one of the sound tracks is damaged, or the equipment that reproduces sound does not have the ability to read the double format. Other film projectors may be equipped with a photovoltaic or magnetic sound head, depending on the process used to record the sound track, or sound heads of both types for alternate use. This heading covers film cameras, etc., both for the film industry and for use by amateurs. It also includes special camera types, for example, cameras designed for installation on airplanes (aerok imaging); waterproof cameras for underwater filming; cameras and projectors for shooting color, three-dimensional (stereoscopic) or “panoramic” films. Film equipment presented without optical parts falls within this heading. Subject to the provisions of Notes 1 and 2 to this Chapter (see general provisions), this heading also includes parts and accessories of the goods of that heading. Such parts and accessories include: housings, racks; ball and socket tripod heads; casings ("mufflers") intended to eliminate engine noise (other than those made of textile materials; they fall in heading 5911); boxes for portable film projectors intended to be used as racks for projectors; devices for cleaning tape (other than such devices for laboratory apparatus; they fall in heading 9010); multi-tiered film coils designed to supply film to a film projector with simultaneous winding of film. However, monopores, bipeds, tripods and the like are excluded (heading 9620). For instruments and apparatus (e.g., microscopes, strobes) equipped to record kines by matographic means, see the relevant part of the Explanatory Note to heading 9006. This heading also excludes: (a) lifting or handling equipment (e.g. cranes for moving a camera) of Chapter 84; (b) microphones, loudspeakers and electric amplifiers of sound frequency, other than those supplied with any of the instruments of this heading and forming an integral part thereof (heading 8518);
(c) sound recording or reproducing apparatus and video recording or reproducing apparatus (heading 8519 or 8521); d) photo-electric sound-heads (heading 8522); (e) television cameras (heading 8525); (f) video projectors (heading 8528); (g) apparatus and equipment for cinematographic laboratories, e.g., splicing presses, editing tables for processing film, etc. (heading 9010); (h) toy cinematographic projectors (heading 9503).
