9612 20 — Ink-pads, whether or not inked, with or without boxes
Ink-pads, whether or not inked, with or without boxes
Names come in English where the EU Combined Nomenclature publishes them — chapters, headings and subheadings, whose first six digits are the same Harmonized System; deeper EAEU detail is a machine translation, marked as such. Official texts — tariff notes, measures, lists and classification rulings — are the original: customs and your broker go by that wording. Where we show a machine translation of them, it is marked; where our quality check rejected one, the Russian stays.

9612 Typewriter tapes or similar tapes, impregnated with ink or otherwise processed, intended to produce prints, in or without coils, cassettes; cushions, stamped, impregnated or not soaked in ink, in boxes or without boxes: 9612 10 - tapes 9612 20 - stamp cushions
(1) Tapes, in or without coils, cassettes, for typewriters, counting machines or for any other machine equipped with a device for printing by such tapes (automatic scales, tabulating machines, teletypes, etc.). This heading also includes tapes impregnated with ink, etc., generally with metal fixing devices used in barographs, thermographers, etc., for printing and remembering the movements of the needle of the recording device.
These ribbons are usually of woven textile fabric, but sometimes of plastics or paper. To fall in this heading they must be inked or otherwise prepared for giving impressions (e.g., textile ribbons impregnated, or plastic or paper ribbons coated, with colouring matter, ink, etc.). The heading excludes: (a) rolls of ordinary or other copying paper tape not suitable for use in typewriters, etc., and tapes specially designed for copying in calculating machines, cash registers, etc. Such tape, which is generally much wider than typewriter ribbon (usually more than 3 cm), falls in Chapter 48; (b) ribbons not treated with ink by impregnating, saturating, coating, etc., for giving impressions; these fall in Chapter 39, Section XI, etc., according to their constituent material; (c) empty spools (classified according to their constituent material). (2) Ink-pads, whether or not inked, for dating, etc. They usually consist of felt or fur felt, fabric or other absorbent material stretched over a wooden, metal or plastic base, which is often box-shaped. Hand inking rollers are excluded from this heading and are classified according to their constituent material.
