9617 00 — Vacuum flasks and other vacuum vessels, and parts thereof (excl. glass inners)

Vacuum flasks and other vacuum vessels, and parts thereof (excl. glass inners)

Names come in English where the EU Combined Nomenclature publishes them — chapters, headings and subheadings, whose first six digits are the same Harmonized System; deeper EAEU detail is a machine translation, marked as such. Official texts — tariff notes, measures, lists and classification rulings — are the original: customs and your broker go by that wording. Where we show a machine translation of them, it is marked; where our quality check rejected one, the Russian stays.

9617 Other thermoses and vacuum receptacles assembled; parts thereof other than glass bulbs

This heading covers (1) Thermoses and other similar vacuum receptacles, provided they are complete. This category of goods includes vacuum jars, jugs, decanters, etc., designed to store liquids, food or other products at a practically constant temperature for a sufficiently long period of time. These products usually consist of a double-walled tank (flake), usually glass, with a vacuum between the walls, and an outer protective shell of metal, plastic or other material, sometimes covered with paper, leather, fabric imitating skin, etc. The interior space of the vacuum reservoir and the outer protective shell can be filled with insulating material (fiberglass, cork or felt). This heading also includes double-walled stainless steel thermoses with a vacuum between the walls without an external protective shell capable of retaining temperature. Available in thermos cover can be used as a cup. (2) Exterior shells, covers and cups made of metal, plastic, etc. for thermoses or other vacuum vessels. This heading does not cover separately presented glass stakes (heading 7020).
